The Winter Solstice ❄️✨

Updated: Jun 19

The shortest day, the longest night. The Winter Solstice falls on Saturday the 21st of June this year.

An ancient celebration that marks the turning point of the year, the least amount of daylight hours, creates the shortest day. After the Winter Solstice the daylight hours begin to increase, now building towards the longest day of the year - the Summer Solstice.

I love to light up and celebrate this cold dark night every year! Here's a few of my favourite ways to celebrate;

• Light candles / put up fairy lights

• Practice Yoga (Try my Free Solstice Class here)

• Write down your intentions for the next half of the year

• Sip on mulled wine or apple juice (recipe in comments below)

• Spend time with loved ones

• Make spiced biscuits or apple crumble

How do you celebrate? Or do you want to know more? Please post any comments and questions below.

I hope you have a wonderful Winter Solstice!

With love,

Meg x

Link to mulled wine recipe. I don't add the bandy. Use cold pressed apple juice for a non alcoholic version!
